You all know the drill: we need first round games for KapCon 09. Ten of them. We ned to know about them soon so we can have the blurbs on the flyer, which we would like to get out by CONFusion at the latest (if not earlier). So, if you've got a game idea, and you want to commit to running it in the first session, post it here, or email it to kapcon@gmail.com.
(And for the rest of you: start thinking about your game now, so you can enter it in the SDC. Or run it at CONFusion or Fright Night, for that matter). _________________ Playing: ArM5 - Fons Albae; Pendragon: Defenders of Sarum; The Nightmare Room
Running: ArM5 - Fons Albae (rotating); DELTA GREEN: Future/Perfect 2.5
Planning: Down and out in Middenburg (November?); KapCon XX; Much Ado About Something (Chimera) |

I'll be GMing sometime during the con, but my first round experiences have generally indicated to me that I should run in different rounds. It's a difficult round to pitch right. :/
My sage advice to anyone doing the first round is: DO NOT DO HORROR. _________________ The opinions prevalent in one age... are confuted and rejected in another and rise again to reception in remoter times. Thus the human mind is kept in motion without progress.

I should be at Kapcon this year, having missed last year. Given that I ran in first round the previous 7 Kapcons and that my scenario has a horror element, I was hoping not to run 1st round. However, if there is a desperate need then let me know.
A precondition to syaing yes would be my own room for playing music _________________ Playing: Red Sun SEED (Exalted2e); Paths of the Damned (WFRP2e)
Running: Seekers of the Ashen Crown (D&D4e); Thousand Thrones (WFRP2e); D&D Encounters (D&D4e)

I am running rounds 1-5 as this next Kapcon is my GM year "on" having just played the year gone.
I will post a blurb for my round 1 game this week.

Everyone gets their own room; you can have a full-on orchestra in it if you want. _________________ Playing: ArM5 - Fons Albae; Pendragon: Defenders of Sarum; The Nightmare Room

I'm keen to run, but I'll be involved with the LARP, so I could do the first round and maybe the second round of the second day.
Cheers

Perhaps. I'll let you know when I've sorted out whether I'll be here or not.

If you're allowed an orchestra, then Jenni will be able to run her game.
Sweet. _________________ Cheers,

| I can definitely do something, but am dithering as to what (for once I have an almost, but not quite, Fosteresque number of things I'd like to run). When do you need blurbs by? |

We've got a while, but sooner is generally better. _________________ Playing: ArM5 - Fons Albae; Pendragon: Defenders of Sarum; The Nightmare Room

| I've recently stumbled on a new indie game that I think might be fun for the first round. I'll try and play test and if it works then I'll go for it. |

I'll definitely be running the follow up to my 'Children of the Blitz' adventure that I ran this year. I'm also pretty keen to GM the entire con, as I find my energy levels remain up a lot longer when running (and avoiding the V!)

Well, if you're running a sequel to "Fear of Dreaming", there'll certainly be the demand for it. _________________ Playing: ArM5 - Fons Albae; Pendragon: Defenders of Sarum; The Nightmare Room
