The blurbs (for Nasia):

Prayers on a Porcelain Altar by J. Tuomas Harviainen:

Welcome to the worst hang-over of your life. Yesterday you were partying with strangers. Today you are nauseous, dizzy and angry. And do not remember what exactly happened. Did you insult, beat and/or fuck someone? Possibly the very wrong persons? A discourse-oriented 2-hour larp for 10 players.

Content warning: this LARP is really all about being shitty to one another. Apparently Swedes find this fun.

A Serpent of Ash by J. Tuomas Harviainen:

For a few years in the early 21st century, "The Liberated" was an active religious sect in the Boston area. It's leader was Timothy Barke, who claimed that God spoke directly to him. Members lived in a communal house, donated their income to the sect, and lived by a strict code of conduct so that they could receive Timothy's sermons. In 2002 Timothy passed away, and soon after The Liberated collapsed. Members went back into the real world and tried to lead normal lives; communication between them all but ceased. Now, five years later, several of them have gathered together for a few hours to discuss how The Liberated affected their lives. A Serpent of Ash is a larp about the dark side of religion: What happens when former cult members meet again? What has been left unsaid? A discourse-oriented game for 6-12 players that has been run at major conventions in Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and the United Kingdom.

I'll run whichever one gets the most players.

OK, you talked me into it. I'll bring Serpent of Ash and Prayers on a Porcelein Altar in case there are a dozen desperate people.

Mike update:

Monster of the Week has survived enough playtests to be ready for other groups, so that'll be what I want to run on Saturday.

It's basically 95% inspired by the TV show Supernatural, so expect to go up against some classic monster of folklore/urban legend and - hopefully - put it down for good.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the people who posted up blurbs here.

I would highly recommend Serpent of Ash- I will put whichever LARP you run in the Last round if that is ok with you?

Hey Pirate! Welcome to the forums and yes everyone is welcome to turn up and there really are no age limits.

Its really a great bunch of people and we try and keep it relaxed and welcoming.

I adjusted the schedule that I posted earlier- but lets face it I am happy to change it on the day if need be.

You all rock

Hugs all

Nasia

Also turning up to one of these conventions is a great way to meet people and find out what you like.

Hugs

Also we will have Kapcon LARP promotional material.

That's great.

I've had two votes aleady for "Prayers", BTW.

Quick question: Does Turnbull House have power points available? I need to know how much printing to do.

Andrensath: Yes, there's power points.

I managed okay with a laptop plugged in last year, but I wouldn't be surprised if their proximity to game tables is variable. Of course, the tables can be moved pretty easily.

I would recommend bringing an extension cord .

Also if anyone needs a room to themselves due to music or other things please let me know and as one of the rooms is only really big enough for one game.

Hugs

I changed my mind again... I'll be bringing along:
- Monster of the Week
- 3:16
- Lacuna

I want to run Monster of the Week, and if required I'll run another session of whichever game gets the most votes.
