I'll be interested to see what tweaks you've applied to Exalted for a con setting - I've often thought of running it, as it's probably my favourite RPG overall, but the thought of confronting players unfamiliar with the game with the myriad of charms most Exalt PCs possess has always made me change my mind about it.

I always thought the best way would be to use the original Exalted 1e quickstart: http://download.white-wolf.com/download/download.php?file_id=84. Its one of the best quickstarts ever done IMO, including full rules, character creation and setting, cut as appropriate to match the space available whilst retaining the flavour.

Its pretty awesome for one shots too. It reduces all attributes and skills down to just 5 - Fighting, Magnetism, Scholarship, Stealth and Embassy. Essence is used to double Trait values (rather than using Charms).

Awesome, Luke. I'd heard good things about this before. Thanks for the link.

... I hadn't actually been planning to use any version of the Exalted system for it, in favour of Wushu. I'll definitely check out that quickstart, though. Thanks for the link.

I'm afraid I have to withdraw my hat from the ring as I'll be out of town.

BTW Andrensath, I highly recommend the PDF of issue 1 of the Exalted comic if you run Exalted at Cons. The Appendix is a 4 or 5 page story in manga format that summarises the Exalted setting history, done by the awesome Cary Nord. It makes for a nice hand out for players who haven't played Exalted before.

The Below

Unknown Armies 2nd Edition

A massive collapse at Crown Coal's newest deep seam mine has left a dozen or more men trapped kilometres underground. An elite emergency rescue team has been dispatched to locate the men and bring them back, before time runs out. Can the team bring deliverance to the trapped miners, or will they fall prey to the dangers that lurk below?

3-5 players. Character-driven drama/horror.

EDIT: Game system changed.

The second issue had 1 page summaries of each of the Solar Castes too, which could make for a good handout too.

I am going to draft up a loose schedule so if any of the GM's have rounds they would prefer to run in or rounds they cant run in can you please let me know in the next couple of days.

I will also print out all the blurbs on the week of the 3rd of August so can people make sure I have them by then or print them off yourself. I need the number of players you can take to be listed along with what your game is.

Thanks everyone

Hugs

I'm going to withdraw my game, for various reasons of general dilatoriness.
