A big thank you to everyone who organized, ran games, provided games and played in games!
A particular thanks to Idiot for running Prayers on a Porcelain Altar. This little LARP was a hell of a lot of fun! If it's offered again I highly suggest people give it a go. It's really made me want to see more LARPing available in Wellington - particularly of this short and snappy variety. Cf course, just as big thanks to the players who made that game so much fun.
Whee!

Thanks from me too, I really enjoyed myself great to catch up with some people I met at Kapcon.
I also had great fun at the LARP and would be keen to play in more of them.
Cheers,
Bryn. |

For Jackie (and anyone else who's interested in the types of LARPs that Jackie posted about - like me, for instance) ...
You might want to check out the jeepform website.
Here's a list of their LARPs.
Here's their manifesto. _________________ Cheers,

I've been eyeing them up for a while, though of course am also intimidated. Some of the games - GR, for example - I don't want to go anywhere near. Others, like Drunk, look quite interesting. At the least, there's a pile of pillageable mechanics and techniques in there.
(I am currently waiting to see "Fat Man Down", and whether the JeepForm version of "Beyond the Mountains of Madness" makes it to the web...) _________________ Playing: ArM5 - Fons Albae; Pendragon: Defenders of Sarum; The Nightmare Room

(@idiot/savant: I've heard The Upgrade is fantastic. It should totally get a debut at Kapcon. ... Hmm, perhaps I will check it out now.)
Nasia, I had a great day at Confusion. Thanks from me, too, for organising it - and to all the people I played with.
I had a great bunch of people for my noir slasher flick game. Final score: PCs: 0, Femme Fatale: 6.
Mike's game, Monster of the Week was excellent fun too, with a great badass group of players. Final score: PCs: 1, Skinwalker: 1.
So, overall, the monsters won, but I had a lot of fun trying to stop them. _________________ Cheers,

Thanks Hix! I'll check it out!
(And I'm sorry I didn't get to say hi! I saw you through a closed glass door, alas, but that is all!)
I'm keen to help organize some more regular LARPs in Wellington. I dearly, dearly love my once-yearly Kapcon LARP experience, but last night's fun reminded me that I really enjoy this style of RP and I should try and do it more than once per year! |

Totally keen to try out some more LARPs as well.
'Prayers on a Porcelain Altar' was great fun.
Thanks to the other players and to Idiot, and to Nasia for organising confusion.

Heretic.
Edit: Just to make it clear, its because its a tortoise... |
There is no point telling him, the Tortoise knows, and anyone who makes the mistake isn't a heretic, they are merely a heathen (unless they have defected from worshipping the clawed and nibbly one, in which case they will be thrown into a pit of rabid tortoises).
Cheers
