Flagship 2016 - call for ideas

Some Ideas I have in general are

Clone High (a highschool of clones of famous persons)

Get Smart/Mission Impossible/ Spy vs Spy type of game

Vegas in Space (50's style camp sci fi!)

While a lot of them are suitable for smaller larps (e.g. the Peter Rabbit larp or the Christie mashup), There are some great possibilities there:

• Annus mirabilis about the Great Fire of London, the Royal Society, and general post-Restoration stew
• A William Shakespere mashup (it being 400 years since his death. Sadly Russ is not available next year.)
• Federation! celebrating 50 years of Star Trek
• If you really want to get worthy: the Easter Rising (though really, that needs to be run at Easter

As I say every now and then...

I think a sci-fi or bunker Larp run in the stairwell (and possibly also one of the corridors that run towards the toilets) would be interesting. It's a brutalist concrete setting, which would suit some things well (and other things badly).

I like it. But 60 players are a lot. So that might work as a section/group/plot/thing within a bigger Larp. (Eg, within your 50s Space Larp).

It would certainly be a different use of the space, and we have plenty of gazebos if we want to break it up (e.g. to turn it into a narrow street for Hamish's promised 2020 Cyberpunk game).

How about "Larp on a Plane".
Plenty of scope of Wesley Snipes analogues to do some shouting,
A set piece parody of the emergency briefing to passengers,
A guitar playing nun who only wants to cheer everyone up,
One of the flight deck crew going through a messy break up with one of the cabin crew,
An intercom system that occasionally cuts over to Air Traffic Control,
etc, etc
Light on space, if heavy on chairs.

If there's a need for more sets then start with a passenger lounge and include:
Ticketing mixups,
Mistaken identity,

A partial set change for the arrival lounge, and the inevitable lost baggage.

Hydra 2015: None (Insted they have the first episode of a Dresden Files campaign)
BoD 2015: Cape-Proof Bunker. Superhero lock-in.
Chimera 2015: No idea, but there'll be 2 or 3 of them.
Phoenix 2015: I'm not sure they do flagships
Medusa 2015: Ditto.

Clarifying Christchurch things:
Buckets of Dice has a second Flagship larp with a police theme (in our usual grand strat slot).
Phoenix will have a Flagship (last year's was "Vamp") but I don't think this year's has been officially decided on yet.
