Can we change it so that a moderator has to verify a new user is real before they can post, or something like that?

I have changed it so users have to confirm registration (as well as enter code). It can be change to by Admin, but I am not sure who that includes exactly.

We have officially one new member since we switched over so that's a good sign.

The spammers are back. Time to swich to manually verified accounts, I think.

(I'll do it, since I've got used to telling ham from spam on the kapCon site, but I'd need the admin privileges)

We changed to email verification from the user before Xmas and that seems to have worked. If it gets worse (and it may already have) the next option is admin approval.
